Who You Help
Since 1902, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has been serving the people and pets within the Dayton region. Not only do they find thousands of homeless animals forever homes each year, but they also work to ensure that all animals are valued and free from suffering. They are the only animal welfare agency in the area that handles all types of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, farm animals, reptiles, birds and much more! They are the oldest and most-established animal organization in the community and as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, they rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to support the programs and services they provide to the community. With their new Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital, they are also reaching out to the underserved in the community by providing low-cost, full-service care for pets in need.
